The Dream Palace

This book made me help a couple of things. Like, to pass time by and all that stuff. You see, I LOVE to go HORSE RIDING and I am hoping we have enough time to go to our closet stable. I wish mum didn't have to fuss about horses and ponies being 'dirty'. We are dirty as well! When was the last time I forgot to take a shower? :J 

Deep inside the forest of The Mystic Land, was the Dream Palace, made out of rich jewels and marble stones. Three friends, Sandra, Mandy and Sarah travel on horseback through the forest and meet up with the Dream Palace.

Queen Holly Land-Coollel, owner of the Dream Palace along with her son, Prince Mark II, needs their help! The Secret Jewel of Life is missing from the dungeons with Danny Black; a missing prisoner is accused of stealing the sapphire jewel. Queen Holly wants the three girls to find the jewel with a map: that leads to dangerous trails and lakes. Can the threw make the way back safely with the sapphire?

Chapter 1

LOST AND FOUND

Mandy read over the phrases a few times. Then, she turned her head back to Queen Holly. Could this be true? Mandy, Sandra and Sarah were the first ones to find this Dream Palace. Sarah gasped when she read it. It was completely true. "So, you think this Secret Jewel of Life is really important, eh?" sighed Sarah dreamily. Sandra scoffed a few times before adding, "Who's Danny Black?"

Queen Holly cleared her throat and her maid patted her blonde hair a few times. "He is a prisoner of this palace. He was before, a trustful servant, bright and dark… watchful and careful… kind and smart… but 20 years later, my son, Prince Mark II was born. I was rewarding Mark for his hunting most of the time and Danny..." The Queen started off with. Sandra got impatient. "Yes? And Danny what?" Sandra asked rudely. Mandy gave her a warning stare. But Holly took no notice. She placed her head down and continued. "Danny got jealous and envious. So, he started making his hunting skills better and better so he forgot his normal servant work… so, instead of rewarding him, I told him off for forgetting his servant work and he got very mad and one day, he killed Mark…" Holly's voice was going sniffy now. Sarah understands completely. "Oh, and you threw him in the cells." Finished Sarah quietly. The Queen nodded miserly. Mandy nodded and said, "Well, we'll catch our horses and find this stolen jewel,"

The queen looked cheerful. "OK, thanks so much but you'll need a map. A map to leading where the jewel is thrown," she said and handing her a map. Mandy looked at the map and smiled at Holly. "We can do this. I hope," she suggested and looked at her friends. They both looked nervous but Sandra was also ready for action. "LET'S GO! C'MON!" She yelled and they all went to get their horses.

"Oh, jumping jacks, jumping jacks! This fast gallop is making me nervous! And it's making Caprice all jumpy!" Sarah whined as they went through fast gallops. Mandy and Sandra slowed down a bit. They both understood; after all, Sarah's horse, Caprice was an old Oldenburg, who was slow most of the times. Unlike Mandy's Thoroughbred horse, Minty, who was in a perfect size for galloping. But Sandra's beautiful bay mount, Comet was also in perfects in jumping skills. When they came to a halt, they had stopped in a deep part of the forest. "Um… it's getting eerie… should we just turn back and tell Holly that we'll rather at home, having hot chocolate than trotting here?" commented Sarah, clutching to her reins so tightly, she barley lost grip.

"OK, let's have a look at the map," said Mandy, ignoring Sarah's rude comment. She held Minty's reins in one hand and holding the map in another hand. Sandra peered over Mandy's shoulder and shivered. "Why does it say that we have to 'be careful' as we cross the Mount Lake? And, it says ALSO 'be careful' of the Weather Trail. Are you sure this is a good idea?" Sandra asked. Once Mandy recognized, she also shivered. But Sarah butted in. "RUBBISH! Absolute rubbish! That Queen Holly of the 'Dream Palace' is just trying to scare us. C'mon, let's go to the Trail. Um…trail C, come on, guys!" she urged. Mandy had no choice but to follow on. She shortened Minty's reins and cantered on. Sandra sighed and shrugged. It was like hours until they reached Trail C…

(P.S: The thing that happens next to that they finally reach Trail C and get lost but Sandra finds a mysterious compass that leads them their way but one of the horses got lost when they soon reached Mount Lake. They had nothing to do except to go on. When, something wrong! The lake that they are crossing has electricity! One touch, you get electricity! Stay tuned and find out what's going to happen next…)
