Raining Day :(

Today was raining, which was a big disappointment. I really wanted to go to Sugarloaf Horse Center to ride Snoopy or Wilma again. You see on January 31st is when school starts, which is a big bummer cos it means less riding on school days. Fifth grade is not what’s letting me down~ it’s either: a) Mrs. Bui or b) Less horse-riding. Let me just say something, basically no people in my family like horses except for me because…

“They are the most stinkest creatures in the world!”

“They put manure everywhere-what if one of them manures on my duvets?”

“DUH, Kat! Why are you even asking?!!!!!!????”

“You shouldn’t even be asking this question if you know the answer.”

Oh well~ at least when school starts I can go riding on Saturdays or Sundays. Blurry picture-should I go take some new ones?

BAAAAALLLLLIIIIIIINNNNNNAAAAAA!!!!! Why do bad things happen when I pick up the camera, eh? Last year I broke a camera with my bare hands while pressing ‘take’ button and suddenly, dad pushed a tea cup over and smash! I dropped the camera and bumped the glass tea cup into hysterics but I liked my version better.      Phew-FIANLLY one good one!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, anyway, you know how horsey people have a saying,

“You have to fall off a horse seven times before you become a real rider”

Well, I don’t really think that’s true because if you fall off a horse it kind of means you have bad balance.

*Lean back when you feel a little off balance when going down a hill etc*   Although, what I think is, riding is not HARD AT ALL!!!! Anyone who hadn’t been riding before is missing alot of fun. 

OK, OK, It was ME who had tied a orange ribbon around Balina’s neck when she was dozing away to Cat Land and I have to admit, I do feel a bit guilty because it took Balina approximately half an hour to shake the ribbon off.

I REALLY wish my mum was a horsey kind of mum. I mean, I really do mind but I just hope…one day when I wake up and go downstairs for breakfast my mother is wearing cream jodhpurs and riding boots, carrying around a riding helmet, and wearing a dressage suit…I’d be surprised…ZAP! ZAP!  Oh no, that was my imagination~~ my mother is carrying around big chunks of math books and she puts them down and starts making breakfast. Then she says, “You’d better improve on your math because Selective Test is next week and if you don’t get in…” BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! I don’t want to bore you with math facts and problems and division tables and super-hard Algebra…brb

AWWWWWWW! Balina is SOOOOO cute!!!!   I feel like I wanna faint………..

Like I said, I usually ride Wilma when I go to Sugarloaf Horse Center but yesterday was different-I think Wilma was used for one of the kids pony lead rides or something, so I had to ride Wilma’s boyfriend (!) (Couldn’t they have just said horse-friend?) Snoopy. I bet Snoopy was super-tired cos he kept stopping (But at one point when we went through the trails we saw a snake!) and I had to kick him hard, but honestly, if that was a lesson I don’t think I might like using whips or crops. ZAP, ZAP! Balina is just SO cute!

 OK, people, now I’m going to type up HOW to ride/control a horse!

• How to mount on a horse:

Put your foot in the stirrups, one hand on the horse’s mane and another on the saddle and push up!

Once you are comfortable in the saddle, put legs in each stirrups.   Hang on! :)

*sigh* *sigh* *sigh*~ sometimes I wonder if people ask this question to annoy me-but whatever. Anyway, you see the riding helmets are exactly like bike helmets-you ride bikes, don’t you? Then you’ll know how to take a hard hat off; so obviously, you wouldn’t be asking this question.

Well, steering means that YOUR REINS HAVE TO BE EVEN or you’ll confuse horses like Snoopy (When my reins are uneven on Wilma, too be honest, she doesn’t get confused but most horses DO so don’t think all horses are like Wilma!) so, make sure they’re even, then, if you want to go to the right, pull the reins to the right, all the way to the horses’ butt and do the same thing on the left.
